  • Own an AI-assisted guided-wave screening pipeline for heat-exchanger tubes end to end, from a high-fidelity Abaqus torsional-wave FEM simulation to 1D CNN, MLP, and U-Net defect classifiers and a signal-processing QC gate, the team’s most imminent client deliverable.
  • Built a COMSOL multiphysics model for transmission-line failure prediction, raising fidelity by modeling the sag effect as a nonlinear elastic displacement of nodes along the line rather than the usual linear approximation.
  • Formalized a visiting company technician’s inspection expertise into a systematic decision tree (re-test, defect present, defect type), making the screening logic reproducible; collected real signals hands-on with physical tubes and probes and designed the support and defect configurations.
